Scope of the processing of personal data
We collect and use your personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services, e.g. when you order products or request rental material. The collection and use of your personal data only takes place regularly with your consent. An exception applies in cases where prior consent is not possible for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.
In order to effectively prevent loss or misuse by third parties, personal data is treated confidentially by our employees. The employees have been obliged to maintain data secrecy and must comply with this.
Purpose of processing and legal basis for processing your personal data
We collect, process and use your personal data for the following purposes:
The processing of your personal data may be based on the following legal bases:
Duration of storage and routine erasure of personal data
We process and store your personal data only for the period required to fulfil the purpose of storage or if this is provided for in laws or regulations. Your personal data will be deleted once the purpose no longer applies or has been fulfilled.
Collection of general data and information, so-called log files
Each time our website is accessed, a range of general data and information is collected on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, which is temporarily stored in log files on a server. A log file is created as part of an automatic log of the processing computer system. The following can be recorded:
The collection and storage of this data is necessary for the operation of the website in order to ensure the functionality of the website and to deliver the content of our website correctly. We also use the data to optimise our website and to ensure the security of our IT systems.
We also use this data for the purposes of advertising, market research and the customised design of our services by creating and analysing user profiles under pseudonyms, but only if you have not exercised your right to object to this use of your data.
Processing of personal data when contacting us, registering or placing a guest order
When you contact us by telephone, e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide will be stored by us on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in order to answer your questions. The contact is logged in order to be able to prove the contact in accordance with the legal requirements. Your consent is obtained for the processing of the data as part of the contact form and reference is made to this data protection information.
You cannot unsubscribe from certain information messages that are necessary for contract processing and the function of our website, for example regarding the service or a chargeable package (e.g. order confirmations, contract documents, payment processing). You will receive these messages to the contact information you have provided.
Disclosure of personal data to third parties
When passing on your personal data, we always ensure the highest possible level of security, which is why your data is only passed on to carefully selected and contractually obligated service providers and partner companies. In addition, your data will only be forwarded by us to organisations that are located within the European Economic Area and are therefore subject to strict EU data protection law or that are obliged to comply with a corresponding level of protection. A transfer of data to third countries does not currently take place and is not planned.
a) Disclosure within affiliated companies pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR
We pass on your personal data for the conclusion and processing of contracts for offers on our website to affiliated companies in Germany for storage in central databases and for internal billing and accounting purposes.
b) Disclosure to product partners pursuant to Art. 6 para. b GDPR
As part of our offer on our website, we work together with various partner companies for certain product groups. If you order products from these partners, we will pass on to them the personal data you provided during registration and, where applicable, when making other purchases, for the purpose of concluding and processing contracts (in particular e-mail address and delivery and billing address). Please note that your contractual partner is responsible for its own data protection precautions and that supplementary or deviating data protection notices of the respective contractual partner may apply to these product pages.
c) Forwarding to service providers in accordance with Art. 6 para. b and f GDPR
For the operation and optimisation of our website and our services and for contract processing, various service companies work for us, e.g. for central IT services or the hosting of our website, for the payment and delivery of products or for the installation of devices or for sending newsletters, to whom we pass on the data required for the fulfilment of the task (e.g. name, address).
Some of these companies work for us by way of order processing and may therefore only use the data provided in accordance with our instructions.
In the case of large appliances and forwarding goods, your order will be dispatched by a service provider (e.g. DHL). This service provider will receive information from us, such as the e-mail address you provided when ordering, in order to be able to arrange an individual delivery date with you.
In contrast to order processing, we transmit data to third parties for their own use for contract processing in the following cases:
d) Disclosure to third parties pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR
Finally, we will pass on your data to third parties or government agencies within the framework of the existing data protection laws if we are legally obliged to do so, e.g. due to official or court orders, or if we are authorised to do so, e.g. because this is necessary for the prosecution of criminal offences or for the exercise and enforcement of our rights and claims.

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, the processing for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims is required.
If you have exercised your right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, we will communicate any rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing to each recipient to whom the personal data concerning you have been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort.
You have the right to have personal data that you have provided to us handed over to you or to a third party in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done as soon as it is technically feasible.
